The congress is expected to attract delegates not only from Kenya and the greater region but also from across other continents. The attendance will include young colleagues from training schools, budding and seasoned practitioners, academic and research enthusiasts, civil society and patient groups, as well as key partners from the industry.

As Kenya continues to witness a rise in the burden of cardiovascular diseases, this congress provides a timely platform to reflect on harnessing technology to tackle this health challenge. “The Society remains at the forefront in championing the training of our members and the rollout of novel strategies to manage CVDs in line with our guidelines,” Dr. Samia noted.

Guided by the theme “Walk the Talk – What Do Our Guidelines Say?”, the scientific committee has developed a comprehensive and engaging program. The congress will feature plenary sessions addressing unique topics in daily practice, workshops, focused group discussions, abstract presentations, quiz sessions, exhibition tours, and themed evenings. This diverse agenda is designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and the presentation of cutting-edge research that can improve healthcare outcomes.

The event will provide a conducive environment for industry partners to interact with delegates and showcase the latest technology in the market. Additionally, there will be social events, including the coveted Gala Dinner, to enhance networking and collaboration in a relaxed setting.

Dr. Samia expressed his deepest gratitude to the sponsors, whose generosity has made the congress possible. “I hope and believe that you will all find a conducive environment to network, collaborate, and share knowledge while enjoying the rich history and relaxed atmosphere of Mombasa.”
