“Triumphs of Excellence: KCPE 2023 Results Showcase Academic Prowess in Nairobi County”

The 2023 KCPE (Kenya Certificate of Primary Education) results marked a triumphant celebration of academic accomplishments and diligence. Students nationwide undertook this pivotal examination, representing the culmination of their primary education journey within the traditional curriculum before the full implementation of the Competence-Based Curriculum (CBC).

In Ruai, Kasarani, within Nairobi County, Josnah Primary School emerged as a standout institution, achieving an impressive average mean score of 373 marks. Notably, Jeremy Wagura secured the highest marks with an outstanding 412, closely followed by Gloria Ndinda at 411. Sharing the third position with exceptional scores of 409 each were Emmanuel Muthui, Louis Gachoki, and Mitchele Bonita.

With over 15 students surpassing the 400-mark milestone and more than 45 students exceeding the 390 mark, the school showcased remarkable academic prowess, evident in its overall mean score.

Josnah School’s excellence extended to key subjects such as Mathematics and English, both achieving an impressive 80% mean score among the 193 students who participated in the examinations.

Principal Peter Kariithi stressed the significance of ongoing collaboration between parents and teachers to ensure a smooth transition to the new Competence-Based Curriculum. He urged the government to consider and implement changes proposed by the Presidential Working Party on syllabus and infrastructural policies for a seamless shift to the new system.

Additionally, the top performer in the 2023 KCPE, Michael Warutere, expressed his surprise at securing the highest score of 428 out of 500. He shared his aspiration to pursue secondary education at Mang’u High School and harbors dreams of becoming an engineer. Warutere’s remarkable achievement adds to the overall success story of the KCPE 2023 results.
